A bomb scare this morning caused the evacuation of the Coatesville high school in Caln Township.

The school district made the following statement:

At approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning a student reported discovering a written bomb threat at the campus of the Coatesville Area Senior High School. The student reported this to administration and a Code Yellow was immediately implemented. The Caln Township police department was notified and following evacuation of the building, an immediate search of the campus facilities was undertaken consistent with the pre-determined plan. No threat was identified during the search. Normal activities resumed within 45 minutes of the discovery of the threat. An investigation of the incident is continuing by police and school authorities.
